Those summer nights! J & M tied the knot on Saturday at the beautiful Birkby House in Leesburg, Virginia, and I am in love with every detail of their day, from whimsical pops of color and patterns throughout their decor to the gorgeous wedding cake baked by the bride herself. Their guests sipped Aperol spritzes at cocktail hour, and enjoyed sunset on the patio. Throughout the day, we heard quotes from Carl Sagan and Dawson’s Creek (cut to the Dj cueing up the theme song after toasts).
Besides photographing this lovely wedding day, I had another important job (and one I took very seriously). I had to make sure Marcel the Shell had the time of his life at their wedding. Marcel the Shell was an early date night movie for this couple, and I love that they wanted him incorporated into the day!
